Resolved - (mt) Engineers have put a fix into place which should alleviate the issues that have been ongoing with Database connection errors. At this time all the connections on the database's host are online. Please contact support if you continue to experience any issues.

Identified - It appears that this may be due to an issue affecting database users with out of date passwords on the Grid. Access can be restored by updating the password of each affected database user and then updating the password in the configuration file.

Here are the steps to restore database access:

1. Check wp-config.php or you CMS config file for the database user in use by that site and note which database user
2. Update password for user and note new password
3. Update wp-config.php with new password from step 2, save changes

Once this change is made the site will being working immediately. These steps can be replicated for each affected domain. We have a guide on how to change database user passwords here:
